"What impresses me most about my daughter's riding instructor (Jeni) is her "whole horse" approach to riding. She shares with my 9-year-old stories about horses and their habits, makes sure that my daughter knows the anatomy of the horse, and also takes the time to teach the importance of treating a horse with respect. Maile has learned that each horse has their own personality and quirks and the importance of being accountable with the horses. Her self-esteem and confidence has soared since riding at Fir Hollow."

"We have been a part of the Fir Hollow Family for almost 2 years. We originally had our daughter's birthday party there and from that point on haven't left! The family-friendly, homey feeling at the stable is so comfortable (even for someone who WAS a little afraid of horses- me:) After the party, our daughter has continued to take weekly riding lessons, has gone to 2 week-long awesome summer camps and participated in the 4-h club. It has been a whole new community for us including many new friends and tons of great learning experiences. Teri goes above and beyond to make sure all of the activities are fun and meaningful. I love how she's always eager to participate in community outreach as well. Her daughter, Jeni, the riding instructor is incredible! She knows her students so well and adapts her lessons accordingly. I love that her riders not only learn to ride, but also how to care for the horses and be a good friend to other riders. Since we have started at FHS, two of our friends have also joined the family as well. In a nutshell, the Stephens have an amazing thing going!"
